Assessment & Monitoring with KPIs and Big Data

Destination Sustainability Assessment with the SDGs or GSTC-recognised destination standards is impossible without adopting suitable key performance indicators (KPIs). KPIs are necessary to create a quantitative baseline assessment, performance targets and regular monitoring progress. KPIs are not a one-size-fits-all, they depend on the destination strategy of each destination. Therefore it is essential to identify suitable KPIs and indicators to address sustainability challenges of the destination at the grassroot level.

By actively participating in the group, participants are expected to:

• Gain knowledge on how to use KPIs and Big Data sources to define destination’s information needs
• Adopting to tailor-made set of indicators and KPIs as per destination’s sustainability goals
• Developed baseline benchmarking assessment of destination
• Learn how to evaluate the assessments

Program duration

The Program will start on 20 June – 8 July 2022 and resume after summer break from  29 August – 2 September 2022. It will cover about 20 hours of learning time over the 4 weeks.
