The Good Travel Summit 2027 will bring together tourism professionals from around the world in İzmir, placing the city’s experience in sustainable tourism within an international conversation about the future of travel and the growing need to connect responsible tourism with the right markets.

At the Green Destinations Top 100 Story Awards, the story “Forest to Fork: Miskolc’s Bold Step Beyond Industrial Heritage” by Visit Miskolc received 1st Place in the Thriving Communities category. Led by local stakeholders in Miskolc, Hungary, including the grassroots network Bükki Kör and the destination management organisation MIDMAR, the initiative demonstrates how community collaboration and local identity can transform a destination’s future.

Led by Brabant Partners and Van Gogh National Park in the Netherlands, the initiative demonstrates how smart visitor management and cross-sector collaboration can protect nature while improving access to outdoor recreation.
